In 88 pages, over 230 early mugs and cups are categorised, illustrated, described and compared, and presented by their form in chronological order, with comprehensive notes on various features such as verification and capacity marks, the development of styles of handle and their terminals, gadrooned and other decoration, the striking of marks and the display of pewter.
