Pre-Imperial ale capacity ½-pint pewter beaker by Thomas Phillips I, London 1795-1849 his TP pot touch feintly visible in base, with the hallmarks of Nathaniel Barber below the rim (Phillips succeeded Barber, and continued using his hallmarks). Verified for the City of London during the reign of George IV (1825-30). Engraved to drum 'J George'. In used condition, with cleaned surface patina and some oxide shading. Capacity 10.1 fl oz (Old English Ale Standard). 3⅝” tall, with 2¾” base diameter. 225g weight. REF: C3549
