c19.7 fl oz tulip tankard by John Ingram and Charles Hunt of Bewdley, Worcestershire trading as Ingram & Hunt 1778-1807 their mark inside the base. The tankard has a plain tulip shaped body, dome lid with their distinctive solid plumed thumb piece. Their apparently unique variant form of hollow C-curve handle has a 5-lug hinge. The lid has no 'anti-wobble' ring inside. In superb condition, with light-medium grey surface patina. Capacity is 19.7 fl oz = an undersized pint Old English Ale Standard. 6⅜” tall overall & 4¾” to rim, with 3¾” base diameter. 739g weight. REF: C3815.
