Wine pint tulip tankard made by Robert Bush of Bristol c1790-1820 his mark inside the base. The profile of its’ double dome-lid is like other 18th century Bristol tankards, and it has no 'anti-wobble' ring underneath the lid. The double curve handle has an open chairback thumbpiece, ‘oozy tongue & pip’ thumbrest, with 5-lug hinge and brass pin. In excellent condition, with light-medium grey surface patina. Capacity 17.1 fl oz = an oversize 1 pint Old English Wine Standard. 6” tall overall & 4¾” to rim, with 3” base diameter. 494g weight. REF: C3414.
