Striking pair of late 18th century English pewter urn based castors, with screw-on tops that work perfectly. Unmarked but dating based on stylistic details and quality is late 18th century. Plain heavily cast bodies with sweeping necks, and screw-on lids with acorn knops and 3 concentric rings of holes of large and small sizes. In outstanding condition, with lovely lustrous patina from regular polishing over decades. 5¾” tall with 2” diameter base. Each has a weight of 226g.
