Frontal spouted measures are rare compared to side spouted ones. Made by Yates & Birch, Birmingham c1839-60 their mark struck to right of handle over PINT. In the base is a crowned X below ‘3’. ‘C’ handle with attention terminal, multi-banded foot, and two incised lines above and below the low body fillet. In excellent condition, with medium-dark grey original surface patina. Capacity 20 fl oz. 4½” tall, with 3¼” & 4" mouth and base diameters. 446g weight. REF: C3352
