Probably unique* American pewter candlestick made by Thomas Boardman, Hartford, CT and New York c1804-73. Round base and baluster knopped shaft. *There are no known candlesticks by Boardman or the closely related Danforth family other than a Boardman & Hall, Philadelphia chamberstick that was also made in Hartford and sold by the Philadelphia sales office. This is probably a unique surviving example. In mint condition with bright surface showing light oxide areas. 6¾” tall, 4¼" diameter base and 2" top. ⅞” diameter candleholder. 220g weight.
