Rare mid-18th century English pewter bulbous/globular salt, which unusually has a 'stem' between the bowl and foot. No maker's mark so dating is based on form and workmanship. In good used condition, with light-grey original surface patina, with heavily pitted interior to the bowl. Lovely turning lines visible under the base. 2" tall, with 2⅜” mouth and base diameters. 131g weight. REF: P1319
