Rare pewter marrow spoon by John Yates, Birmingham 1805-76, with one of his spoon marks to the back of the handle. This is a rare survivor as the handles are delicate and easily bent/broken. Marrow spoons or scoops had different sized ends to allow them to be used to extract the marrow from large and small marrow bones. In excellent condition, with medium-grey original surface patina. 9¼” long, with ¾” and ⅜” wide ends. REF: P1718
