9” tall English pewter communion chalice of very plain form, possibly for non-conformist use. Large bowled, and with simple moulding to rim and foot. Unmarked, but dating probably c1780-1820. In excellent condition, with light-grey original surface patina. 9" tall, with 4⅛” mouth, and 4⅜” base diameters. 752g weight. Provenance: formerly in the collection of the late Harold Sumberg.
