An uncommon form of creamer or milk jug made by Henry Joseph, London 1736-85, with his near perfect pot touch well struck under the base, which has lovely turning lines. In unrivalled condition this is one of the less common forms of creamer made by Joseph (and other London pewterers) who mostly made creamers with feet. It is likely that this type is earlier to match the earlier teapots, which also did not have feet. In pristine condition, with light-grey surface. 4½” tall, with 2⅛” base. 157g weight. REF: C3226
