Bright cut decorated vegetable dish made from sheet pewter/britannia metal. Probably made in Sheffield, but unmarked and of a form not previously recorded. In view of its size, one useful purpose would be to serve asparagus. Extensively and most attractively engraved with bright cut decoration, and fine incised lines. In excellent condition, with light-grey original surface patina. 10” long, and 4” maximum width. REF: P1118
