Very rare English pewter barrel flask with glass ends, and screw-off cap that works perfectly. No maker mark. Made from the same mould as the body of a pint barrel mug, then modified to create a flask by adding glass discs at each end, and a screw-off cap to the side of the body. In very good condition and leak-proof, with unbroken glass, and having a medium-grey original surface patina, with oxide shading. The macrame strap in some of the photos is included although it was only made recently to fit the flask, and can easily be removed. Capacity is one Ale pint = 20.2 fl oz. 4⅞" long with 3" diameter ends.
